Who I Am

I’m Jenn Brown, and my story isn’t different from most twenty-somethings who crave more out of life than the baby-boomer American Dream. As I struggle to define my future, I try to focus on the relentless pursuit of my masterpiece…

“You have a masterpiece inside you, you know. One unlike any that has ever been created, or ever will be. If you go to your grave without painting your masterpiece, it will not get painted. No one else can paint it. Only you.” – Gordon Mackenzie

  1. Love this quote! I’m writing this on a post-it and keeping near my creative writing journal. Thanks for visiting my blog and following me so that I could discover your blog right back! Look forward to reading about your adventures in Oz! I haven’t been there yet myself, but hope to visit someday in the not-too-distant future. Cheers!

  3. Hi Jenn,

I found your blog online and was interested to hear about your working experience in Sydney. I have a 12 month working holiday visa with two years experience in administration and a background in marketing. I was wondering how easy it is to get an office job in Sydney? I have sent off my resume to countless temporary recruitment agencies but not heard back yet from any as of yet. If you have any useful advice I’d be keen to hear it. Thanks lizzie 🙂 my blog is lizzie-boyes.tumblr.com

    • Lizzie! I’m so sorry, I’ve been 1000% absentee from my blog and I’ve started getting shit from my friends for it, so I’m just seeing this, um, 2 months after you’ve posted it! Are you still looking for a job? Have you found one? Your best bet is usually to come to Australia and then start looking around for work; lots of companies are open to a probationary period with you on your working holiday before granting you a 457. Let me know if you’ve landed something, and if not I’ll send you my email contact to see if I can help. Hope all is well!
