My Story

This started as an expat blog.

A way to easily keep friends and family at home updated on my life Down Under, a place to muse about the unexpected cultural disparity between the US and Australia, a place to ease heartbreak and celebrate new friendships.

Living in Australia for the past 2.5 years has given me a huge gift: The permission to stop chasing after material success to start pursuing spiritual success. It’s permission I never would have given myself if I hadn’t left the US, and I’ve chosen the vehicle of travel to be the start of my journey toward deeper happiness and fulfillment.

So I’ve temporarily retired from the world of computer screens, meeting rooms, late nights and too much coffee, and am embarking on a journey with the primary purpose of awakening all five of my senses to the fullest possible extent, and hopefully learning a lot along the way.
