Today I am grateful for terrifying moments that help bring a lot of things that were once fuzzy into razor-sharp focus. Seeing someone’s true colors can be a painful process, but one I will always be grateful for. Nothing like a little life/death scare to show you what and who really matters.

I am happy to say that I can now look back on a certain chapter of my life here in Seattle without a single ounce of regret or sorrow any longer. Life/Fate has a funny way of keeping you safe, even from your own stupid self. Just make sure you listen.

And that, my friends, is a beautiful thing.
